I get to spend some special time today with my friend Kim. We used to be next-door-neighbors, too. I'm really looking forward to it, although I wish we were going shopping or doing something fun instead of what we have planned.
Today we are going to the Cancer center for Kim to meet with her doctor about a new tumor they found. Kim was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer two years ago and this week she found out there is a tumor on the back of her eye.
Two years ago when they found Kim's cancer, it had spread throughout her body in her bones. She had several tumors in her spine, her pelvic bones, legs and shoulders. Immediately they started radiation, chemotherapy, and all kinds of treatment to shrink and block the cancer from spreading.
Kim has been fighting and praying hard to win the battle. I have been amazed by her strength and grace, and absolute dependence on God. Her faith in Him inspires me! She has grown to such a tender and believing place in who He is and how much she can trust Him.
I've watched this mother of three constantly point her children to God for hope and encouragement. I've seen her be present for them like He is for her. More than anything she wants her kids to know that God is always with them and has a plan for their lives.
I have to admit that it has been so hard to watch a friend go through so much suffering. I cry out to God almost daily for a miracle. I ask "why" and wonder what His plan is in allowing a mom of three children - 4, 7 and 12 - to go through this with them watching and wondering. They are so worried about their mom and so sad to see her feeling so sick. And Michael, her husband, so wants to fix it as any man would.
Kim has been in tremendous pain and her discomfort has increased due to more tumors in her spine and other bones. She also has some small tumors on her liver they are watching.
I've been praying for ways to encourage and bless Kim and her family. Mother's Day is coming and I wanted to do something really special for her. I know the greatest gift I can give is prayer, God's promises and loving on her family!
So, today I wanted to see if you will help me bless Kim. Will you join me in praying for Kim, her husband Michael, and her kids Jessica, Grace and Matthew?

I come before you tonight with all of these other precious women to lift up Kim and her family in prayer. Father, I come into agreement with every person here as they have prayed for healing, peace, joy, grace, strength. Thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abudantly above all that we ask or think! (Eph. 4:20) Lord, please do just that...do more than we can even imagine.
Lord, I also pray that You will bless them richly through Your Word...giving them specific verses to cling to as a lifeline. Specific promises that will bring truth and hope to the darkest hours.
Father, I love You. And I thank You that You are forever worthy of our praise and our trust, even when we don't understand what is going on or why. You are for Kim and her family. You are not against them. May they feel safe in Your hands.

This absolutely breaks my heart. I have two friend with terminal breast cancer, however they are both single ladies in their early 50's. Still. I pray for them regularly.
But to be a mommy and go through this is unthinkable.

Eat lots of plant foods, cut out dairy, meats etc. and trust God.
I have a friend whose cancer had spread throughout his body. The Doctors gave him 3 months to live.
This is now10years gone, he went back to work, all by changing his diet to plant foods.

Dear Heavenly Father, right now I lift up Kim, Michael, Jessica, Grace and Matthew. Father we come to You as the Great Physician and Maker and Healer. We know that if it be Your desire, with just a word You could touch Kim's body and remove every cancer cell. I pray for her healing Lord, yet I also pray for Your will to be done. Romans 8:26 reminds us "in the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." May Your Spirit take my feeble words and present this request before Your throne of grace. I pray that you will provide the strength to endure, the peace to comfort, and Your presence and love to overflow in this family. Father, may they fix their minds on You so that doubt, disappointment and despair cannot, and will not, cause them to feel forgotten or abandoned. May they know and experience Your Hand guiding and guarding their way. Lord give divine wisdom to the doctors and physicians who are administering Kim's care. May all medical treatment be done with excellence. Father, I ask that You would restore Kim's body completely. Lord, take this families fear, uncertainty, anxiety and replace it with Your peace that passes understanding. Be very real to each one. Infuse each one with courage. I have typed two encouraging and prayers for you and lots of promises from God to stand on and each time I try to send them my computer locks up. I know this is spiritual warfare! Third times a charm... God will see to it! Please know that you are in my prayers and I am bombarding heaven for you sweet sister in Christ. Keep your eyes on Him. Trust Him, His timing, expect complete healing, believe and don't doubt, keep your faith high readind and believing His promises to YOU! He is holding you in His arms and will never leave you. What a testimony you will have to share when you get the victory. My son's friend who is 15 yrs. old just got his victory of "no cancer" after chemo and radical surgery at such a tender age. God is on the throne and still in control and does miracle. If you believe and don't doubt you will have what you ask for in prayer. Thank you, Lord, for complete healing in Kim's body and we command this mountain of cancer to throw itself into the sea and we believe that we will get what we ask for in prayer.
