A Great Give-Away and a Little Get-Away
Can you say whirlwind?

That is how my little life feels right now, in a good kind of way. It's been a whirlwind of a week with lots of decisions and meetings and planning and running kids to friends' houses and camps, serving yummy goodness to lots of boys and having some great family times.

We are re-arranging the furniture in my daily life to make room for sweet baby Aster to come into our world in the next few months, hopefully fewer than we think. Thanks for your prayers as we pray about me cutting back some things at work.

God's has gone before us and lots of ideas and great plans are starting to fall into place. This is a pruning process and I have to say it's been hard. Some tears have been shed when I get overwhelmed and just feel sad about not knowing how it's all gonna work.

I don't know what my new normal will look like but I know it'll be better than before if I let God define it for me.

Today I am going on a little get-away for 3 days with Lysa and Holly to do some writing and planning. My goal is to write 10 new radio shows, another chapter for my book and get all of my She Speaks messages completely outlined. Crazy, huh? I know. But I am believing God to do what I can't as I rely on His love and His ideas to come out of me. Cause with Jesus all things are possible, right??

Speaking of Jesus, I wanted to make sure you know about an amazing give-away on Lysa's blog that ties in with her new book "Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl" - it's about knowing Jesus and allowing Him to make a difference in our everyday lives.

Renee, I'm so glad you're able to get away with Holly and Lysa. Can only imagine the time y'all will share. Please hug each other for me.

Praying you'll be able to accomplish all that God desires you to get completed over the next 3 days. Praying His words, thoughts, ideas will come to Your mind and that You will experience Him in a new way.

I'm soooooo excited about Lysa's new book (already pre-ordered one!!!). While I was "shopping" on the P31 site, I also ordered a couple messages of yours that I haven't heard. Looking forward to their arrival.

My friend, remember that God provides where He guides, so you can more than trust Him with all the changes that are ahead. He already has everything mapped out and He will take you safely along the journey.

Love ya so much. Can't wait until I'm ordering your new book as well!!!
Hugs,
Joy

The more you talk about baby Aster, the more excited I get for you and your family. I'm almost envious.;-) But, I know when the time is right, God will truly show us whether adopting is for our family or not.

I was sharing with a friend of mine the awesome experience God provided for Hope to be near Aster, to hold her and share that joy with you. It is so like our God to do that.

I pray your time together with Lysa and Holly is blessed beyond what we can even imagine. I look forward to hearing what God shows you at She Speaks. I am so excited about the conference!

Oh, how precious to be able to get away with two dear friends! I know they will both be an encouragement to you as you work, just as I am sure you will be an encouragement to them! I am sure the Lord will provide plenty of times of laughter and refreshment for all of you over these 3 days...and I know He will help you accomplish all that He desires for you to do. Have FUN...even in the midst of a long list of need to do's!

Praying!!! :)
love,
K :)

Praying for you!

Thanks for the note the other day. I'll respond soon.

I did a blog about fair from some of the sifting.... Not quite the moon analogy you used once, but you might be able to make something of it... Just a thought.

I hope you get good girl time as well as work done.

I don't know if I've told you this, but I'm so excited for the arrival of Aster to your lives. What an exciting chapter God is unfolding for you all.

Grace and peace be your portion as your navigate these waters of abundance and shifting tides.

Y'all have fun! I know that God will bless your time together, and His Plan will be accomplished. How exciting! I would love a get away to do something like that! Here's how my "get away" went last night.

10:30 pm --all the boys have gone to bed. Quiet time for me.
10:40--curled up in a big chair with Bible and notebook in hand. Prayer.
10:45ish--God gives me scripture to back up my She Speaks talk(Yes, I'm a last minute person--always have been!!)--I write as fast as I can.
11:20--in bed, mind is just a racin'!! But I need sleep.

That, sweet friend, was my "get away" time to write!! And, I still have to time it and and make sure I don't go over 5 minutes!

I can't wait for She Speaks!!
Love ya,
Susan

You guys are so inspiring! I love to write and ponder on what I want to write...I can't imagine being able to do it for a living nor going away and doing it with a couple good friends who share the same goal and interests!

Pray your time away was a blessing and refreshing!! Renee your words, "Some tears have been shed when I get overwhelmed and just feel sad about not knowing how it's all gonna work.

I don't know what my new normal will look like but I know it'll be better than before if I let God define it for me," seemed to jump off the screen for me. I can so relate as we approach the arrival of our little one as well. But you are so right, if I let God work it will be better than it already is. It's all about trust and letting go...thanks for the reminder! Blessings, Jill

Hey!
I couldn't help but notice your comment at Lysa's. :) And I just thought it was funny...cause God gave me a "waiting" verse for my day.

"The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him."
Lamentations 3:25

Waiting and seeking!
love to you,
K
